Welcome

Moving to OzwebGenealogy

Welcome to My Genealogy Website.

I recently revised the design of the site to use the Genealogical Display Program of RETROSPECT GDS.  being more powerful than the method used previously. I left the old system in place in case you have bookmarked them. Access to Retrospect remains via the Menu on the left, I am afraid that I have found it necessary to remove the Old System files.  But do not worry, all the data is there on the PhpGedView Database referred to below..

Due to problems that I have encountered in updating the site and in order that the latest information is available, I have found it necessary to move to OzwebGenealogy.com which enables me to have multiple Genealogy Websites using PhpGedView.  This software has more facilities than Retrospect consequently the Retrospect Database has been superceded with the new database.  You may continue to use Retrospect if you wish but I recommend that you use PhpGedView on OzwebGenealogy due to its improved facilities via the menu.

The Contact Me and Genealogy Links have been transferred to the new site and you will be automatically transferred.

The more important Family Names included on the site include;

  • DAVEY, CLEAVE, GROSE, HARPER, LEAN, MENHENICK, PERKINS, POLLARD, VINE, WERRY, WORDEN
  • ARNOLD, DAUNTON, HARLEY, HARRISON, JONES, SPILLER, WADHAM, WOODWARD

Thank you for visiting my site, I hope it is of use to you.  Feel free to contact me if you are related to any of my lines, or can tell me where I have made an error which needs correcting.   You can also contact me with any problems that you have found in the operation of RETROSPECT or PhpGedView.

Genealogical research is often built on others, I would like to thank Christine Dix, Harold Lean, W J Grose, Clem Edwards, Ross Cotton, Ian Newton, Catherine Southall, Alan and Martin Spiller, Rebecca Cross, Kaye Cochrane and members of my close family, particularly Charles Pollard, Helen Scott and Christine Young for their contributions to this combined work.
